AUFRUF ZUR EINREICHUNG AN ALLE ANALOGEN FOTOGRAFINNEN UND FOTOGRAFEN! (English translation below) 

Die in Zürich lebende Fotografin Ellen O’Connell (www.ellenoconnell.com) kuratiert eine Diashow zur analogen und alternativen Fotografie. Diese wird im Schweizer Fotomonat vom 29. August bis 5. Oktober 2025 bei Ars-Imago Zürich und möglicherweise an weiteren Orten in Zürich gezeigt. Egal, ob

Sie Schweizer Fotograf/in im Ausland, Nicht-Schweizer Fotograf/in in der Schweiz oder Fotograf/in mit Schweizer Themenschwerpunkt sind – Sie sind herzlich eingeladen, Ihre Arbeiten einzureichen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos und es gibt keine inhaltlichen Einschränkungen. Die Jury behält sich jedoch das Recht vor, Arbeiten auszuschließen, die sie für ein junges Publikum für ungeeignet hält. Sie können ein Gesamtwerk oder eine Auswahl einzelner Bilder einreichen. Lassen Sie Ihrer Kreativität freien Lauf.

EINREICHUNGSRICHTLINIEN

– Einsendeschluss ist der 1. August 2025.

– Alle Arbeiten müssen analog oder mit einem alternativen Druckverfahren erstellt worden sein – filmbasierte Arbeiten, handgemalte Emulsionen, Fotogramme, Cyanotypien, Spielzeugkameras, Polaroids, analoge Fotoautomatenbilder…

– Obwohl wir die zeitgenössische Schweizer Fotografie würdigen möchten, gibt es keine Garantie dafür, dass Ihre Arbeit in die Diashow aufgenommen wird.

- Alle ausgewählte Fotografinnen und Fotografen werden bis Mitte August benachrichtigt.

Ca. 1920 Pixel auf der längsten Seite bei 72 dpi, maximal 10 MB pro Datei

Bitte beschriften Sie die Bilder wie folgt: Nachname_Vorname_Titel

Maximal zehn Bilder können eingereicht werden.

EINREICHUNGSBEDINGUNGEN

Mit der Einreichung Ihrer Arbeiten erklären Sie sich mit Folgendem einverstanden:

- Meine Arbeiten dürfen während des Schweizer Fotomonats 2025, vom 29. August bis 5. Oktober 2025, in dieser Diashow gezeigt werden.

- Ich erwarte keine finanzielle Gegenleistung für meine Teilnahme an der Ausstellung.

Die Kuratorin (Ellen O’Connell), Ars-Imago Zürich und alle anderen Anbieter der Diashow haben meine Erlaubnis, meine Bilder im Vorfeld und während des Schweizer Fotomonats 2025 zu Werbezwecken in sozialen Medien und/oder auf Websites zu veröffentlichen. Bitte geben Sie den Fotonachweis an und/oder verlinken Sie auf mein Instagram-Konto und/oder meine Website.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

CALLING ALL ANALOG AND ALTERNATIVE PROCESS PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Zürich-based photographer Ellen O’Connell (www.ellenoconnell.com) will curate an analog and alternative process photography slideshow, to be displayed at Ars-Imago Zürich and possible other locations in Zürich during Swiss Photo Month, from the 29th of August to the 5th of October 2025. Whether you are a Swiss photographer living abroad, a non-Swiss photographer living in Switzerland, or a photographer who has featured Switzerland as a subject, you are invited to submit your work. There is no entry fee for submission and there are no content restrictions, though the jury reserves the right to exclude work it finds inappropriate for young audiences. You can submit a body of work or a selection of individual images. Let your creative mind wander.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

- Submission deadline is August 1st, 2025.

- All work must be generated by an analog process or use an alternative printing method – film-based work,

hand-painted emulsion, photograms, cyanotypes, toy cameras, Polaroids, analog photo booth images…

- Though we intend to be inclusive to celebrate contemporary Swiss photography, there is no guarantee that

your work will be included in the slideshow.

- All selected photographers will be notified by mid-August.

IMAGE GUIDELINES

Approximately 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72dpi, maximum 10 MB per file

Please label images as follows: LastName_FirstName_Title

Example: Snyder_Nicolas_Sunrise

Maximum submission is ten images.

TERMS OF SUBMISSION

By submitting work, you agree to the following:

- My work may be included in this slideshow for the duration of Swiss Photo Month 2025, from the 29th of August to the 5th of October 2025.

- I have no expectation of financial compensation for my participation in the show.

- The curator (Ellen O’Connell) and Ars-Imago Zürich and any other entity hosting the slideshow have my permission to post my image(s) on social media and/or websites for promotional purposes in the leadup to and for the duration of Swiss Photo Month 2025, with proper photo credit and/or a link to my Instagram and/or my website.
