A little bit of history...
ars-imago was founded 20 years ago when we were suddenly no longer able to buy photo chemicals from our local photo retailer: Those products were no longer needed, we were told... But as our hearts is still beating for this medium, we quickly started buying our favourite products ourselves and selling them on to other enthusiasts via a small shop with a tiny online shop. Over the years, the whole thing grew and we ventured into new areas, so that today we can run two shops (one in Zurich and one in Rome) and stock a wide range of our own products, such as chemistry or our Lab Box. But what has always remained the same is our enthusiasm for analogue photography!
